| The design and manufacture of a polarizing beam splitter (PBS) cubic prism of small size used in isolater and circulator in optical communication system are presented. The method of symmetrical optimization is adapted in design. The thickness of layers is monitored by non-extremum technique in order to acquire high performance polarizing beam splitter prism with high transmission efficiency and extinction ratio. The result of design and experiment of the prism has been given in this paper. |
